This map is from a 1923 Atlas of the World and Gazetteer published by Funk and Wagnalls Company. Appearing on page 79 of the original hard bound book, the U.S. population of 105.7 million referenced was sourced from the official U.S. Federal Census for 1920. The largest cities and their respective locations and populations were listed as: Bridgeport [C4] (pop. 143,555), Hartford [E1] (pop. 138,036), and Waterbury [D2] (pop. 91,715).

State of Connecticut — circa 1824
This map of Connecticut is of unknown origin, but clearly shows the eight counties, as well as the bordering states and Long Island Sound. When viewed at full size, the names of many cities and towns are clearly visible, as are the major rivers, lakes, and mountain ranges. This is an exceptionally clean image and a good quick-reference for the state of Connecticut.

This map of colonial Connecticut is courtesy of the Library of Congress, Geography and Map Division. On the upper left corner appears "To the right honourable, the Earl of Shelbourne, His Majesty's principal Secretary of State for the Southern Department. This plan of the colony of Connecticut in North-America. Is humbly dedicated by his lordships most obedient humble servt. Moses Park. Novr. 24, 1766."
