History
Brief:
This area was part of the town of Bolton. In 1749, winter privileges were granted to resident of the North Bolton Society. In 1760, joined by the east part of the Second Society of Windsor, full Parish rights were given. The Parish was incorporated in October 1808 as the town of Vernon, named for Admiral Edward Vernon.
