History
Brief: |
Settlers from Windsor were in this area as early as 1660. The first established town of Messenger�s Farms was established as the Parish of Wintonbury in October 1736 and included part of the Poquonnock Society of Windsor. It was incorporated as the town of Bloomfield in May 1835. Town vital records begin 1835. Barbour collection records cover 1835-53. |
